What are options for survey software that can provide instant answer "analysis"?
Eg., every A is worth 1 point, every B is worth 2 points; if your answers added up to more than 20 points, you're awesome.
I don't know anything about the segment and I'm looking for a jump start on research.
I prefer software that is hosted and simple to use. Doesn't have to be free, but cost is a factor since we only need this sporadically -- probably a handful of surveys and a few thousand responses each).
Throw out suggestions. The best answer will be the one that gives a nice overview of options, and summarizes the pros and cons of each.

Pulseware - an Aust company that offers free trial and packages. Would host your survey for you. It allows you to be notified instantly of results in some cases ( the example they use is where a salesperson gets a bad customer rating )

I work in a university where staff occasionally poll their departments or sometimes the entire campus. This means it might be answered by 50 people or 15,000. The online site that is consistently used is one with free surveys called Survey Monkey. http://www.surveymonkey.com/ The types of surveys sent have been both essay and "pick the best from these answers" kinds of queries. I'm making a guess that a big reason they use this is because it collates the results for them.
