What are most hilarious & successful parodies ever made ?

I like the Scary Movie series more than the other parodies I have watched. What are the ones you like ? Why ?

I think Young Frankenstein is a great parody. Made by Mel Brooks, with Gene Wilder. Very funny.

I actually like Mel Brooks' parodies like: "History of the World Part 1" and "Spaceballs", but I'd have to say that "Shaun of the Dead" is the best parody film ever. It has seamlessly integrated a whole new genre of indie filmmaking at its best. At first I thought, "Oh please, not another parody!" Plus horror and comedy mixed together just makes it too cheesy. But "Shaun of the Dead" has outdone itself--the writing and directing is just superb. It really is the best parody ever!
