What are great games for the visually impaired?

I need everyone's help to find some REALLY great games for someone who is visually impaired. The person is an adult so would enjoy challenging games BUT also would enjoy the ability to play games with kids - so, any age range of games is fine as long as they are audible or able to be used without vision. Thanks to everyone in advance - please don't be shy...I plan to purchase as many as I'm able to find so the more the merrier.
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

American Printing House for the Blind also offers a number of games. Search for games or look under the recreation and leisure category.

A blind friend of mine had a wonderful braille set of Monopoly that he loved to play.

Unfortunately, in today's world of high-power graphics cards, HDR and first-person shooters...accessible games don't get the focus that they should.

However, Wired magazine has an article that may be a good place to start:
