What are good fundraising ideas for the Tasmanian Devil's facial tumour cure?
Hi,
I'm in grade 10 and I'm doing a science project on The Tasmanian Devil's facial tumour and it's cure.
Part of my project is to raise as much money for the Tasmanian Devils as possible.
If anyone has any good, creative and successful ideas I could use for fundraising, that'd be great .
:) thanks ;)

Here are a few idea you might like to think about to raise money for the Tassie Devil...
School fundraising - you will need to ask permission from the school principal
* you hold a stall and the proceeds are donated to the cause. People from your class could sell cakes and muffins or Easter Eggs or cards! Cards would be good if you could make them with the Tassie Devil on the cover and a short note inside to say purchasing this gift raises money to help them. Sell in packs of five or something. Cakes could be made with black and white icing to make them more Devil like :)
*mufti day at school with a coin donation. Mufti Day is when you don't wear a uniform but if your school doesn't have uniforms then mufti could mean come as a favorite character from TV. Hold a fashion parade and the winner gets a small prize with all other donations going to the Tasmanian Devil
Facebook Fundraising - you will need to start a fan page and may need help setting up a donation point, you could ask your school IT manager for help
* fan page with information on the Devil, good pictures, lots of details about the disease and then a donate button as well as a link to donate to a recognised charity like WWF where you can adopt a Devil (1)
Other social network sites could be used the same way.
Street stall fundraising - this is outside school hours and off school grounds so you will need permission from the local council
* gather items to sell, including those mentioned for school fundraising and hold a stall at the local shopping centre. Ask for donations to prizes from local businesses and hold a raffle ( you will need permission for this via the school principal ) These stalls can be run from local markets as well but you will need money to rent the stall for that day
I hope these ideas help. It is a worthy cause and I'm sure any money raised would be very welcome
