What apps can I get for the Android?

Which applications can I get for my Droid phone? Are there any new ones that only the Android phones can download? What website has the latest applications I can download?
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi there @throne!

As of December 2010, there are 200,000 (applications, games and widgets) available apps for Android based phones (and I’m sure that number grew already). I’m an Android user too and based on what I see, there’s an app for every imaginable purpose so you will never run out of apps which can help you on your daily life. Your next problem though will be memory space. :)

The most basic apps you should download usually are already included on your phone. Apps like social media apps (example: Facebook, Twitter aps) are already installed by default. What you must download next are the ones that will provide ease on your everyday tasks. As for me, I downloaded Evernote (a note taking app), Aldiko (ebook reader), Photoshop Express (a mini version of Photoshop for minimal photo editing processes), Weight Loss Trainer (an app which tracks your exercise and diet), and more helpful and fun games.

I’m not particular about your interests but whatever those are, I’m sure you can find tons of apps and games that you will love. Here’s the link for Android Market website so you can check more apps to download: https://market.android.com/.
