What Anime movies would you recommend for Children?

Tip for best answer: M$0.37
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It would help if you specified an age. My children loved most of the movied by Hayao Miyazaki beginning around age 10. His latest movie Ponyo is particularly suitable for younger children.

I would recommend Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service and My Neighbor Totoro. All kid friendly and excellent for adults as well. Spirited Away is a bit more for older kids, the other two are all ages fun.

You forgot Castle in the Sky. I believe ALL Miyazaki films to be fantastic.

I agree there are definitely others, I picked the ones I thought were the best to introduce kids to his work.

If you think they'd enjoy watching it in a theater, you might choose Miyazaki's "Ponyo," which is currently in theaters and has already earned quite a bit of acclaim. It's a retelling of the story of "The Little Mermaid."
