What advice do you have for going to the beach with a 1 year old?

Taking a toddler to the beach can be a lot of fun... if you're prepared. There are a few things you'll want to make sure you pack-
1. Sunblock- A sun burned child is not a happy child
2. Snacks- A hungry child is not a happy child
3. Drinks/water- A thirsty child is not a happy child.
4.Waterproof toys- A bored child is NOT a happy child.
It helps to have a blanket and umbrella in case the child needs a nap. Otherwise make sure to watch for hazards such a dangerous debris in the sand like glass or sharp shells, and keep a close eye on them when they go near the water. To make sure that they're having fun show them how to build sandcastles or cover their feet in sand. Kids are fairly easy to entertain. Keeping all this in consideration you should have a great time with your little one at the beach!
