What 3rd party set top boxes work with Time Warner cable to receive unscrambled digital channels?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

M$I always thought the only reason to buy your own box was if you were stealing cable.

M$Nope - just doing it to save money. If I buy a box as opposed to renting one from them it will pay for itself in less than a year. The cable companies don't exactly advertise this because they make a lot of money off of equipment rentals. Doesn't work for scrambled signals in most cases but the channels I am going to pay for are transmitted "in the clear".
Thanks for the links but that covers PC tuner cards / USB devices. I am looking for a cheap set top box...
