What 2 combined solid shapes have 8 faces,12 edges, and 8 vertices?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

That's it!
it has 8 faces, 12 edges and 8 vertices
a Stellated octahedron
It was named by Johannes Kepler in 1609, though it was known to earlier geometers.

So kerryk, you were right-only that the pyramids needed to be intertwined

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, because you didn't mention if there has to be 2 DIFFERENT solid shapes, but a triangular pyramid has 4 faces, 6 edges and 4 vertices. So two of them would have 8 faces, 12 edges and 8 vertices.

Oh I see what you mean. I didn't understand the question completely. Thanks. I'll think of something else

I think that's not the answer. He mentions "solids combined" That may mean they are "glued" together through a common face or fit one into another (if one is convex and the other concave)
