We've expanded the Science & Mathematics category on Mahalo Answers. What do you think?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Great suggestions, mrgunn! I ended up deleting the "microbiology" category since it's so closely related to "molecular biology." "Molecular biology" is now a main sub-category under "Biology" and it contains the sub-categories "Cell Biology," "Cloning," "DNA/RNA," and "Genetics." Those last three are also pretty closely related, but I figured there are more questions about genetics that users could ask without being specifically related to DNA or cloning.
I also added an "Evolution" sub-category under "Biology" which had been left out as well.
Thanks, Jonathan. Genetics and Cell biology aren't sub-categories of Molecular biology, though, so they should really be at an equal hierarchy with it, even if molecular biology is a superior discipline. ;-)
I would also add a protein category under molecular, too, since you've got a DNA category.
