Were you disappointed?

As a child I loved the book, "Where The Wild Things Are." I just finished the film and feel a bit let down.
It was a great film, but not all I expected I guess.

What was your take on it?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I wasn't really disappointed. I knew that it was going to be built structurally different from the book, because the book itself was rather short and linear. If a movie was filmed just like the book it would be quite a bit shorter, and I don't think would do the book justice. Having the director put his take on it adds to the original, instead of not being exactly the same.

I can't say I expected everything that went into the film, but overall I thought it was a great take on the children's classic.
