Cutting out fried foods, Fast foods and soda. Those 3 steps can help so much in losing weight.

Adding in exercise or brisk walks will kick up the metabolism and will help you burn fat faster.

starting with a healthy breakfast will keep you from being so hungry at lunch time that you make bad eating decisions.

Eating more fruits and vegetables will also increase the amount of belly fat you lose right off.

Drinking more water will keep you hydrated and will keep you feeling full so that you eat less.

The best way to lose weight is to do it slowly. Cut back on high fat and high calorie items but do not try to starve yourself. Plan a diet and set a goal that you like and can stick to.

Although some people don't like to hear it exercise is an essential part of losing weight and keeping it off. Again, find something that you like to do so that you will be able to stick to it.

Losing weight is relatively easy, it's not going back to the old habits that caused the weight gain in the first place that is a challenge.

The book Body for Life really helped me get a perspective on dieting. I didn't follow it step by step but was able to form my own plan from it. The book was given to me by someone who had successfully used it to lose weight and I in turn passed in on to someone else.

I've tried moderate diets in which I halfheartedly tried to keep a very rough running estimated total of my daily calorie intake and not exceed a target limit. I've tried diets where I just reduced a few of my guiltiest pleasures, such as fast food burgers and snacks. I've tried pairing these approaches with light elliptical trainer and swimming workouts at home. These "moderate" approaches were never enough to help me lose weight in any signficant amount over a period of months. I stopped gaining weight and often lost fractions of a pound each week, but any minor slip up and I'd be back to where I started. A vacation cruise, holiday indulgence or a couple of skipped workouts and my weight come right back.

I think serious weight loss requires commitment, changes in mindset and lifestyle and an approach that is extreme enough to be uncomfortable and inconvenient. After halfheartedly trying to loose weight for a couple of years, I got serious and dropped over 30 pounds in under three months, greatly increased my muscle mass and cardio health and have easily maintained it for almost two years. My waist is now 6 inches smaller than when I started the program below.

Here's what I did:
Got a small food calorie journal that showed me the caloric content of just about anything you can think of. I kept it in my pocket for about a month until I memorized the real calorie content of everything I regularly ate. I set my calorie calorie limit to 500 calories below what I needed to maintain my current weight.

I reduced fats, sugars and carbohydrates wherever possible, as this let me eat a greater volume of food to satisfy my hunger while still reducing calories. You can eat a whole mountain of veggies before you equal the calorie content of some french fries.

I made a point of eating 4 small meals a day and a small nighttime snack while still staying under my target calorie limit. I eliminated fast food and all sweetened drinks such as soda. I reduced eating out, and whenever I did eat out, I divided my portion in half immediately upon receiving it to ensure that I would eat half now and half the next day as leftovers.

I keep pre-cooked frozen chicken cubes in the freezer at all times, as it's super easy to heat up, season and use in a quick meal. It's lean, full of protein and can be added to a salad, stir fry or whatever and be ready to eat in a couple of minutes.

I keep a bag of salad mix and or spinach in the fridge at all times and eat a large serving of it every day. It takes seconds to rinse off and prepare, helps fill you up and has very few calories. You can throw the spinach in the microwave with a dab of butter and some lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, garlic, hot sauce or whatever and in a couple of minutes have tasty steamed greens to accompany a meal.

I make my own low fat oil and vinegar based salad dressings and keep them in the fridge. They test better than store bought products, don't have any corn syrup, are low in fat and pack a lot of flavor with few calories. I use it sparingly on salads, sometimes toss greens with it before steaming and even occasionally use it as a chicken marinade.

I keep healthy snacks on hand at all times. My favorite fruits, low fat or fat free popcorn, low fat granola bars or home baked fruit tarts with no top crust and minimal butter. If there is always something on hand when you are hungry, the convenience of eating it now without effort makes it easier to avoid going on a snack run for something less healthy.

I drink a lot of water. Half of my body weight in ounces every day. If you weigh 200lbs, that's 100ounces of water per day. Staying hydrated keeps me from feeling hungry and seems to keep me healthier and make it easy to lose weight.

I take a daily calcium and vitamin D supplement, which I've read helps with weight loss. I also weigh myself every single morning before I get dressed so I am always aware of how the previous day's choices affected my weight.

I also take Krav Maga 2-4 times per week. In addition to teaching self defense, it offers several things that are FANTASTIC for weight loss:
* Workouts that burn 600-1200 calories per hour
* Variety to prevent boredom (every day is quite different from the last)
* Partnered exercises (i.e. pressure to work hard so you don't let your partner down)
* Advancing knowledge and skill sets (makes you go regularly so you don't fall behind)
* Trainers that push you behind what you think you can do while remaining safe
* Grueling tests that you have to be in good shape for to pass

You wouldn't believe how motivating this approach is. You stop thinking "this is hard" and start wanting to excel and improve immediately. Something as simple as a partnered push up makes you work harder than you thought possible. Partnered push ups involve you and a random partner doing push ups together opposite each other with your heads near each other. Every time you go down and then back up, you pause briefly at the top and clap opposite hands together in a sort of high five. Thus, you have to keep up with your partner and work at the same speed. This prevents you from slowing down, taking a break, etc., as it would mess up your partner's work out. They have dozens of paired exercises like this for the warm up part of class.

During my first few weeks of Krav Maga I was embarrassed to discover I had trouble completing the workouts and sometimes had to take rest breaks. It was a fight to keep up with class without losing my lunch. It was really rough at first, but it was so worth it. Now I'm muscular, am in reasonably decent shape, have lots more energy, could likely win a fight against a group of muggers and I receive flirtatious advances from attractive women when out in public. I burn so many calories now that I can indulge in the occasional dessert and not gain my weight back. I feel better about myself and people who haven't seen me in a long time invariably comment on how good I look. I now enjoy Krav Maga so much that I look forward to classes and am disappointed when I need to miss a workout.

The first few months of this regimen were rough, as I constantly craved less healthy foods, felt hungry much of the time and felt stiff and sore after my classes. On the plus side, after going through that much discomfort, I wasn't about to let myself slip and have to start over again, so in a way the severe lifestyle change was a form of motivation. It's like climbing a hill. Once you get to a certain point, you don't dare give up for fear you'll lose momentum and never make it to the top.

An added benefit:
Once I became accustomed to this routine, I virtually never have aches and pains, tightness in the neck and shoulders from stress, etc. Except for after an exceptionally brutal workout, I usually feel healthy, comfortable and relaxed, almost as I've I'd had a massage the previous day. I used to often wake up with a stiff back or be sore after a day of work in front of the computer, but this almost never happens now.

I wouldn't recommend this as a program for everyone, especially older people, but I believe that aerobic workouts of this sort may fit the bill for some people. I personally do not believe that exercise that attains compliance by stress and fear is necessary for improving your health, and in many cases, it would be damaging to your health.

I have been losing about a pound a week, pretty effortlessly, since I vowed a few months ago to just:

1) Stick to three meals per day -- no snacking

2) Quit drinking sugary drinks

3) Get half an hour of exercise every day
-- Housework counts!
-- Shopping counts!
-- Playing with the dog counts!
-- Etc.

take acai berry pills combined with proactol (Proactol ONLY the last weeks of the Diet, f.e: the 2 o 3 pounds that remains to lose then take proactol, not before, so it will help you to lose them quick, otherwise it will be eternal suplice...) and try the weightwatchers Diet (www.weightwatchers.com) . I like weightwatchers diet because you can eat ALMOST all and lose weight naturally (I already lose 25 pounds).

Acaiberry help you a lot to lose weight and also as natural antioxidant natural source, it's simply the best if you really want to lose weigh quick and naturally.

Also, reading articles at this site I discovered (I didn't know that) that acaiberry it is a potent anticancer fruit, that has been studied for scientifics since years ago. Do not mind what peope say at the forums or just at yahoo answers: Acaiberry it is the best natural medicine to prevent diseases and also it is good to lose weight because helps a lot in your metabolism :)

With Acai berry you can lose your weight x 2, but the most important it is the mix of propierties that can make you feel better and younger.

Proactol is also a completely natural product that I combine with acaiberry, absolutely organic and clinically proven.

In case you need more clarifications you can always write me and I will tell you more about my experience: actualis@yahoo.com

I buy acaiberry through this site: www.acaiberrybestoption.com which I discovered months ago. I use to buy 3 months pills, in this way I save money, otherwise you can buy month by month. Also they have a Doctor at the site who answers your doubts, in this way you can comment him your case before buy and feel absolutely secure.

I have to say that I am not the owner of those sites and I am not giving free publicity of them, I just recommend them because they are good in all senses (secure payment, good attention to costumer, etc) and I am using their services for long time.

About Proactol you can buy them here: www.allindiet.com which is also a nice place if you want to know more about diets and diet pills. I have to say that all pills sold at his site are 100% organic with natural ingredients.

Well, I hope I could help you and you'll be success as me :)

See you!
