I LOVE Tai Chi and find it to be a great exercise as well as a great meditation. When I started doing push-hands, it really changed my outlook of how energy works and how practical that knowledge could be. I also took that thought process and use it in my therapy practice.

If you don't mind, I would like to know where you learned and who was your teacher's teacher. I haven't much knowledge of the Sun style, except that it is a mix of yang with other styles.
I have two pages that I made on Mahalo:

http://www.mahalo.com/qigong
There are short forms of Tai Chi that do not use much space. For instance I know a 13-form Yang style that can be practices in about a 5-foot square area. You could also try some qigong styles that require little or no footwork.
