i recently finished a 7 day juice fast but didnt lose to much weight, why ? what have u done to help you lose weight?

just finished a 7 day juice fast and maybe lost 2-3 pounds, not much considering i was famished half the time and only had 3 glasses of the juice from the juicer a day. Why do you think this is?

What would you do to lose more weight faster ?

Working out non stop hasnt done it for me either, i used to work out 1-2 hours a day and then come home and eat everything in site... What is the alternative besides eating less and working out less... ?

Thanks Mike !

Sorry but 3 pounds in one week is a lot in one week! you should never lose more than 2 - 3 ounds in a week. Any more and it is unsafe. There never has been a magic weight loss formula. I thas always been the same simple calculation. Calories taken in need to be less than calories burned during the course of a day. Get a free account on Fitday.com and track your calories for a few weeks you will get an idea of where the calories are coming from. A juice fast in not for losing weight it is for detoxifying the body. Juice is a source of high calories so you could have potentially been getting more calories from juice fast than you would from eating. Fructose in juice is pure sugar, the benefits of the juice fast come from the extra vitamins and minerals and phytonutrients you get in a concentrated form, the benefits have nothing to do with lack of calories. a calorie is just a measure of energy.
