How many stores did you have to check out before you found "the dress" for your wedding?
I have a friend that is getting married next year. She has gone to several places, including a Brides by Demetrios store. I only went to one place to find my dress. How many places did you have to go to. Most interesting gets best answer.

• Great story.... One question. Did you tell your boyfriend about the dress before or after he proposed?

You'll never believe this, but I went to Ross, a bargain store here in Florida, and found three dresses that I liked, but none really looked good on me. I wanted something with an empire waist but none of them had the cut I desired. On the way out the door, hanging on the outside of a rack that I'd passed many times, was a beautiful white, empire waisted, chiffon covered dress that was absolutely beautiful. It was a v-neck cut and had flowing sleeves. I tried it on, and it was the one. And the best part is that it was only $8.99!!

Eight dollars and ninety nine cents?? I thought I got a good deal on my dress. That's amazing!

I traveled 2 hours to a place called Bridal Town that had over 7000 bridal gowns, so it was one stop for me. I had a good friend who went to 22 small shops before she found a gown, so taking a 2 hour drive to go to a place that had so much inventory was well worth it.

I went to two stores and tried on 6 or 7 dresses. It was really easy for me to find my dream wedding dress. First, an expensive bridal boutique, didn't really find anything that I loved. Went to a huge wedding dress warehouse store, told the consultant what I was looking for, she brought me a few to try on, I loved the first one I tried, but tried a couple more on, just in case. I bought the first one. It was $800, at a boutique store it would have likely been double the price.

A wedding is a very important day so the bride needs to go to as many stores as she feels necessary until she finds the perfect dress that she knows is the one. The number of stores doesn't matter. A bride knows what she is looking for, and when she sees the dress, she will know it. It will be worth all the time looking.
