Hi Eartheatpopcorn!
I've had a look at your question and really can't add too much to the answers that have already been given. The basics are covered. Easyeboy's points (numbers 2 and 4) are dead on. Also, Dashpunkz comment "Give a good title to your videos" is key.
I took some time to look into your youtube page, subscribers, etc. Keep in mind that I'm not a viral marketing expert and while I've contributed to a few successful campaigns, youtube is about creativity and dedication.
1)
Online marketing has one underlying principle: Content Is King. You must (must must must) provide people with outstanding, creative, interesting content on a regular basis.
2)
Give people a reason to watch your videos. Right now, users are having trouble distinguishing your creative videos from the other random videos you highlight. I'd separate out your original content channel from your highlighted videos channel.
3)
After that, work hard on your videos. If you really want views and subscribers, you need to have better content.
I think that your videos are good but that if you would like to increase subscribers and build a fan base that you need to continue to improve your content.
4)
Form a strategy. Plan it, write it down, act on it.
The channels that consistently do well on youtube have carefully planned content. Think about what videos you'd like to create, how they'll work together to form a good channel and then about release dates & times.
5)
Here are a couple of misc tricks:
Post-rolls work well to tie your videos together and cross promote. Cheesy post-rolls sort of suck, but if you can figure out how to make a funny or catchy post-roll people will check out the next video and your chances of gaining a subscriber increase.
This one is a bit shady, but when done well works. When you have a really good video that you would like to promote, orchestrate a feud in the comments. Tell a friend what you're up to and argue back and forth (passionately and honestly) about something.
I hope that these things help promote your YouTube Channel and that I've answered your question, Eatthatpopcorn!

1. Customize Your Channel Design
First you should customize your channel design, and make sure your profile is designed the way you like it, but nicely enough so that people think that your profile is worth visiting. Study the top YouTube channels, what everyone is subscribing to, and ask yourself if you see any patterns. Look at what they are doing to appeal to subscribers.
Channels I like you should check out:
Hot For Words
http://www.youtube.com/user/hotforwords
Lisa Nova
http://www.youtube.com/user/lisanova
College Humor
http://www.youtube.com/user/collegehumor
Fred
http://www.youtube.com/user/Fred
Now, you can see that all these subscribers have certain themes or an appealing background, and they are all customized.
2. Focus on a Topic of Interest
You need to focus! Ask yourself the following questions:
Who is my audience and am I appealing to them?
What is the purpose of my YouTube channel?
Why should anyone view my YouTube channel?
Do I have a particular video genre that I am focused on showing?
Don't just post all kinds of videos. You must focus on a topic, or else you will lose subscribers interest, as they have no purpose to go to your videos over another's videos. As you can see from above, some post videos on comedy, while others are informational.
3. Add Friends Through Popular Channels
Growing your network, and adding friends from the popular YouTube channels will assist you with getting more people to find out about your channel.
Here is a link to the most subscribed to channels:
http://www.youtube.com/members?g=0&s=ms&t=a
4. Submit a Video with a Purpose
Don't just submit a video, yet think before submit a video. If you are not going to watch your own video, then do not submit it. If you only know a few people will watch it, then do not submit it. If you really believe the video serves a purpose, the video can get you a 5 star rating when people watch it, then submit it. If the video serves a particular audience, covers a particular topic, or is just plain interesting, then submit it. The best videos are usually well thought out, and submitted with a purpose.
5. Use the "Share Video" link
Copy and paste that link, and send out your videos to friends, family, and anyone you know. You might even want to Digg your video.
6. Blog and link your blog to your YouTube videos.
7. Ask questions on Mahalo Answers and add your YouTube videos. Maybe one of your videos can be based around a question. Possibly one of your videos can be used in an answer, and you can even say that this was your video.
8. Pay For Views
Yes, you've read that correctly. You can pay for views. There are sites out there like 750 Industries and Viewing Wizards that will guarantee you get a minimum of 10,000 views. Viewing Wizards will get you 10,000 views for $7.50. Note, I've never used this service. However, I know that 750 Industries is a reputable company, and they have so many ways to get people viewing your videos if you pay them.

Viewing Wizards
http://www.viewingwizards.com
9. Get Cards
Lastly, you can get yourself some cards and put your YouTube URL on it, and hand them out to people wherever you go, and say something like, "check out my YouTube channel, and subscribe!" Telling people to subscribe always helps.
Good luck, Eatthatpopcorn!

How can I better promote my You Tube Channel?
My You Tube channel is http://www.youtube.com/eatthatpopcorn
How can I promote it? My main goal is to get more subscribers, but this goes hand in hand in getting more views for my videos (I do not want to pay one of these services where you can "buy" views on your videos).
I want to make my presence on You Tube grow to the point where I can eventually become a "You Tube Partner". How can I do this?

Eatthatpopcorn, hope you're having a good day with adding videos to YouTube! First, in promoting your YouTube channel you need to realize that your channel does not start with one video, but your whole channel, and your profile on YouTube. 1. Customize Your Channel Design

I can't believe that that many people would watch a kid with a horrid voice over. He has to be scamming the system. the common theme among all these people seems to be the fact they are annoying. If that is all it takes to be a youtube star then I should open a channel because no one is more annoying then me. Just ask my sister. I could do the whole thing dressed in drag and with a Darth Vader voice helmet on... I could edit my video every 4 seconds like sexyphil and say just as much about absolutely nothing. I never knew it was so easy. It's times like this I am glad I am a misanthrope.

I'm a bit confused about your post-rolls comment. How can I use that?
http://www.google.ca/search?q=define%3A+post+roll
Here is a short example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbAUi7savsk
Notice the url on the end of the video? Its a post-roll. Expand on that type of thing to make it your own.
