Well, while the web is currently in the "We love web 2.0 and social networks" phase, Twitter is quickly becoming the new hot property on the block. It's micro blogging uses are quite easy to get into the habit of using by normal people, since you can only make a post a maximum of 140 chars anyway. Being able to follow multiple people you care about , such as Stephen Fry, Kevin Rose or Shaquille O' Neil. Hash tagging tweets to make them show up on certain tracking websties for different purposes. This makes Twitter very useful by itself. Many businesses are also integrating it into their business model, for example Comcast set up a twitter for customer help.

The best example would be that Mahalo Answers, if you've not noticed accepts tweets starting with @answers and automatically makes them questions here, and tweets the answers back to the asker.

I feel that myspace, facebook, twitter...etc have ALREADY taken over the Web by storm!

What will the NEXT thing be? I think being able to *place a vote for the presidential election online* will happen. No not this year, not in the next 5 years...but it's going to happen. I have NO idea how, but with the technology increasing daily its inevitable.
