When buying a domain i would keep 3 things in mind. Length of the Domain, if the domain was ever black listed and domain extension (.com, .net or .org).

Length of the domain can really be a significant factor as so many people need to type your site, there will so many times you talk about your site... you pretty much want this to be something under 13 characters long, the shorter the better, the more interesting the better.. Consider Mahalo as a great representation of that. And always get something relative to your site. if it is about movies then get .tv if it is a typical site always get a .com, .net or .org.

Why consider a .org - to get indexed faster because they are usually informational sites so google loves that.

Why consider a .com - It is a typical and very common thought when websites come to users minds.. First instinct is site.com not site.net and most of the time even if they know it is a .net they will type .com because they are so used to that, it could mean big time trouble in the long run if you go with a .net

Why consider a .net - If you absolutely have no choice to do this then go with the .net but consider all other options before doing so because it could have mass negative effect. I have never heard of a .net going big.

Other then that I would stay away from most of the other domain extensions.

Domain Black Listing - Always check the histore of a domain, make sure it was not blacklisted unless chances are google has flagged it and they wont consider you when you want to get your pages indexed.

Suggestion of where to buy your domain would be 1and1.com they have a special going on right now for a business package 10 dollars per month and the first 3 months are free and this includes 1 free domain.

1and1.com is very easy to setup and it makes domain buying process a lot easier then most companies make it out to be.

I hope I have helped you some and you can start your domain buying today.
If you need any more help please dont hesistate to direct question me or reply to this comment.

Thanks So Much, Mike !

Which name seems good? virtualdays.com, cyberwindow.com or bridge2virtual.com?? I will buy my domain from our country's company.

My vote goes to virtualdays.com .....you can realize from the domain title that it would be ICT portal for Dhaka. (Capital of my country)

Thanks
safi

I think you should definitely go with the one that is easiest to remember and type which for me was cyberwindow.com - the other one is the same character length so it will make no difference to google which one you go with.

virtualdays.com is also good. its a toss up but i am leaning towards cyberwindow.com

Thanks for your reply, Mike !

Ps: Picking a domain should not be easy, your going to be using it for a very long time and it should represent the business perfectly. I would take more time on it, see if you can get it down to like a 9 character length.

Depends a bit on your knowledge about DNS, but I think a simple user interface is mandatory for most, further it's important that you don't have to pay for the changes in DNS. Perhaps some security measure around Whois would also be a plus.

safi, DNS has to do with the server your website is located on. you have to point the domain to the server so people can get to your site by going to your domain name.

if you switch hosting companies and move your site to another server, you want to be able to change where the domain points to (the DNS) easily.

if you have problems, having a company with great support is a must so that you don't have to wait around to get it done.

depends on your needs
i consider
price
Relibility of website who is selling domain
24x7 service
type of domain i mean .in,.com,.biz,.net etc.
whois protection

Always buy domain for short period of time if buying from new company and see if goes good then continue
