Create a Page View using the views module.
Install the Bonus Views pack and install it.
In your page view change the type from FULL NODES to Grid View.
Create content by uploading pictures using the Content type you created using CCK.

In Drupal 6, How do I create a simple photo gallery?
I have users that barely know how to cut and paste, so, it needs to be easy to install, configure and post.

Use CCK to make a content type with an image upload field. Create a Page View using the views module.
Install the Bonus Views pack and install it.
In your page view change the type from FULL NODES to Grid View.
Create content by uploading pictures using the Content type you created using CCK.
