If I wanted to be an investor in iPhone applications or fund my own ideas, what are the best avenues to take?
Are there "VC" type organizations that let private investors fund budding iphone devs? Think Crowdspring, but for mobile apps.

From what I understand the programming language that iPhone apps are written in is not that difficult, you could probably hire a freelance programmer for $15/hr or so and have him build through your ideas. The good: If it's a huge success, its yours. All yours.
The bad: If it flops, you lose all your investment.
