ASP .NET MVC is a framework developed by Microsoft. It uses the Model - View - Controller pattern. It is built on the ASP.NET framework.

It provides the following features :

 Provides complete control over your HTML markup
 Enables rich AJAX integration
 Intuitive website URLs
Clear separation of concerns which results in web applications that are easier to maintain and extend over time.
Testability – including support for test-driven development.

The MVC Framework is more reliable to web developers who can use the Model View Controller pattern to build the web applications.
