Can anyone suggest a new online accounting package that is simple and flexible

I know of Quickbooks, Peachtree, Microsft etc but wondered if there is anything new, something equivalent to the "Dabble" of Databases

- Mint (www.mint.com) will take a little while more to EVOLVE to what you need (quickbooks killer) but it takes care of some of your basic needs.
- Google Spreadsheet: I know a slew of people who use excel (as in with macros and scripting) as a mainstay app. Google's mimic of excel is heading that way as well.

I'm not an accountant but my fiancee Is and she recommends the following Quicken 2008 Deluxe and Premiere and Money 2008 Deluxe. You can also get tips from entrepreneur dot com listed below. I hope I gave my two cents worth.

I still use the stand alone Quicken, but there was a great Wall Street Journal article about this subject. I would suggest reading this for some additional background.

You can not beat Mint (http://mint.com)
It tracks your bank accounts, Checking accounts, Investments (e-trade, etc.), Credit Cards, and even things like PayPal and Prosper.

It will also seek out ways for you to better optimize your cash flow.

You can set it up to give you alerts when you are approaching budget limits, bills are coming due, new money is available, etc.

It is truly a one-stop-shop for finances; it is all I use anymore.
