The use of wordpress for a personal blog is always a good thing in my eyes. The options you have to make changes is amazing and the plugins are really a wonderful thing for anyone that wants to add more power to their site. I also am a fan of N.Design Studio who made that layout, they do great clean work.

As for your personal touches... you have a knack for laying out your post in a way that is eye catching and still very clean... well done!

It's good overall.

Do this in css:
center { margin:0; padding:0 0 15px; }

This will add space between the "share this button" and the youtube embed, just like on the other posts.

Potentially, this could be a good blog. However, you need to pay attention to a few issues before the search engines take notice. From an SEO point of view, once of the most important steps is optimizing your page title. This is what goes between the tags in the header portion of your website. You have simply put your domain name in there, and this is not particularly imaginative. You're wasting a huge opportunity here. Pick a word or phrase, search term, keyphrase or whatever you want to call it, that you want visitors to be able to find you for and put it there. Make sure you're not using the same title for all the pages of your website. Each static page needs its own title.

You might want to register your blog with directories such as Technorati.com to get some extra buzz. I find that having blog entries submitted to Stumbleupon brings in a lot of extra traffic. Your call.

Also, you might be interested to know that Hula does not stream outside the US, so visitors from abroad cannot view your videos.

Not to be negative but to give you some postive feedback
I like the logo but the text next to the logo, could that be sharper, perhaps by embedding?

Also I am not personally a fan of the square buttons they look so 2001 to me
