How can I make Internet Explorer features work in Firefox?

Is it possible to make Internet Explorer features such as bouncing images (example: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/bounceimage2.htm)
work in Firefox?

I visited that page (the url should be http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/bounceimage2.htm ).

It's stated on the page that the script only works for IE 5.5 and above. This is because the Javascript createPopup() function is not supported on Firefox. It'll only work on Firefox if the code is modified to replace that function with another function that is compatible with Firefox.

I suggest you try these alternative scripts instead:

I was actually referring to
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/bounceimage2.htm

I am trying to find a way to render "Internet Explorer - only" features properly in Firefox, without using the Internet Explorer browser. Is there a script that could do this by replacing incompatible elements with compatible ones?

Unfortunately I can't find any script that would do this - there's no incentive for developers to write this kind of script either. The script wouldn't be as simple as replacing one function with another, because there is no equivalent function in Firefox. Therefore developers writing script with cross-browser compatibility in mind would not write such browser-specific code in the first place. If conversion is needed then a person well-versed in HTML and Javascript can easily do this for you.

I get a page not found error for your URL, however I went to http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/bounceimage.htm with Firefox and it worked fine, many bouncing balls. What happens when you try it?

Yeah... actually I think you want JQuery. Stop optimizing per browser, let them do it for you :). I'm not positive how it handles these particular routines, but if there's an easy way to do it either they already did it or someone on their boards will know how. Best of luck.
