We need our business plan professionally evaluated. What firms offer this specific service & how much do they charge?

Now that our company has spent all the time necessary to build a good business plan, where do we go to get our business plan professionally evaluated?

Our company has spent hundreds of hours, thousands of dollars, and brought in specialists to help us build a good business plan. We want to get our business plan professionally evaluated, but cannot find any service that does this specific task. What firm(s) offer this specific service, and how much do they charge?
Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

As far as reviewing your business plan professionally evaluated, one of the entities I came across and I suggest you take a good look is vFinance, Inc., a business institution engaged in a wide range of investment assistance from banking to start-up firms that are looking for sustained company growth and high return of investments. vFinance, Inc, head office is currently located at 1200 North Federal Highway, Suite 400, Boca Raton, Florida 33432 and you can also contact them through their Business Planning Services no. (561) 236-5533 or through their email at plans@cie.vfinance.com.

One of the interesting aspect of their review is the fact that they don't charge you a cent for the initial business plan review, all you have to do is provide your name, phone no., email and your 2MB, Word, WordPerfect, and Acrobat in zip files. Your business plan will get reviews from vFinance leading financial experts.

I may be looking at your dilemma too simplistically, but if you have spent thousands of dollars and a great many hours and used specialists to create the best business plan possible, why do you think it needs further work by having it evaluated?

Do you have little confidence in your plan even after all this work? I have done various searches on Google to try and find companies who evaluate business plans, but despite trying various forms of wording, I could not find any offering this service. This leads me to believe that there cannot be much need for it.

I did find some references to evaluating business plans, I have provided the links below to sites which maybe of interest. These sites appear to offer advice on how to do this yourself. Maybe these will help. Now you have done all the preparation, would it be an idea to press on with promoting and marketing the business instead of concentrating on evaluating the business plan? As I said, maybe I'm looking at it too simplistically!

I appreciate your reply.

FYI, it's not about confidence. We simply have a requirement for a professional 3rd party evaluation of the plan.

And thanks for the links. Unfortunately we have dozens of similar lists and documents, all of which are fairly shallow.

So, we still need an independent firm, preferably with years of performing a a proven process.

Yes, I thought i was looking at it too simplistically! Trouble is, if such firms exist, why are they so hard to find? Have you tried asking on Linkedin? Not sure where else to suggest.
