Ways to make a concrete path "prettier".

I have an old straight concrete path in my yard. It is about two feet wide and 30ish feet long. What are good ways to make the concrete look better cheaply? I would like to do this myself. The concrete is in overall good condition with a couple small cracks.

Any special wash or stain ideas would be great!

PAINT IT. You could paint it as if it were flagstones set in mortar. You can buy epoxy paint made for painting concrete. Here's some examples: http://www.johnnyblazed.com/Joanies_online_portfolio.htm
and here's a company that specializes in stain treatments to make concrete look like various stone: http://www.merrillpaint.com/kemiko_concrete_stain.htm

Adding to the prior answer, you may try an acid wash stain on the concrete to change the color. It can give the concrete a more natural looking patina and compliment your home's exterior.

Are you talking about making the concrete look better (using a special wash or something)? Or do you want to add some plants or accessories to make it look better?

Plant wise, you might want to think of putting some ornamental grasses at random places along the side (so they overhang the path a bit). There are some beautiful colors. Or something like a moss or, my favorite, Mondo Grass

Another idea is lighting. Some nice low-voltage lighting might be nice.

I don't like symmetry, so I would put the plants/lights at irregular intervals along the straight path.

I meant the concrete. Thanks for pointing that out so I could change it.
