M$You can’t say, “I think the earth is square” when there is an established fact that the earth is spherical. You can’t say “I think Switzerland and Swaziland are neighboring countries” when there is an easily reachable atlas indicating that Switzerland is located in Western Europe while Swaziland is in the African continent. Similarly, you can’t say, “I think all religions are right, they worship the same God”, “I think Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism e.t.c. represent differing paths to the same destination!”, “I think the true religion is . . .” e.t.c., when there is an authentic source to FACTUALLY answer all these questions. With opinions, you certainly have a right to be wrong but with facts, you don’t have a right to be wrong and as true as Thomas Sowell said “Reality is not optional”.

Anyone with a modicum of intelligence will agree that God cannot forsake us. If Nokia Manufacturing Company would not manufacture a phone without supplementing it with a Manual, the good and loving God is expected to give mankind a Manual/Guidance to life issues. In Psalm 23 God is described as a “shepherd” who cares for His sheep but which kind of a shepherd is this, one may ask, who does not provide a map/manual/textbook/answer-book/scripture which would explicitly show people the true religion? Whoever said “assumption is the mother of all screw-ups” was right. So if God said that mankind should follow a certain/specific religion, those who opt to follow a different religion in the presence of such a Godly Fact will screw himself up. So to answer the question, Muslims have VERIFIED or CAN VERIFY that Qur’an is the true word of God and consequently they regard whatever is inside it as a FACT and not an opinion. And of course the true scripture contains the words of God. Simply because when God says, it is a fact not a hypothesis/assumption/possibility. God’s Word is truth {Psalm 119:160; John 17:17} and God “. . . cannot lie . . .” {Titus 1:2}. All doubts are normally silenced in confidence of divine guidance. And unlike Christians, Muslims will give you SCRIPTURAL EVIDENCE for what the true religion is. They will just quote from the Qur’an the verse that says, “Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. . . .” {Qur’an 3:19}. And if they find that you didn’t understand, they will quote another easy-to-comprehend verse that reads: “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islâm, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.” {Qur’an 3:85}. So Muslims declare that the true religion is Islam because their absolute GOD SAID IT.
