How soon after the inauguration will hotel rooms be available again in Washington DC?

Hotels will always be available -- for a price ... but it stands to reason that many attendees at the inauguration will likely vacate their hotel rooms the day after the ceremony ends, thus freeing up rooms. Such rooms may be difficult to reserve far in advance though, with hotels having blocked so many rooms for the inauguration timeframe.
