We can't take onboard too much what Sofia Vergara says, it was innocently meant. In my opinion the comment was just a careless throwaway comment.
I think the comment was insensitive to rape victims but I wouldn't say it was any stronger than inappropriate.
Broadcasters need to tread with care in future before allowing Sofia Vergara on their channels.
