Was Mrs. King's killer placed in general population in prison?
Was Mrs. King's killer in the mental ward of the prison? DId he get special protection while in prison? I am asking because I know that there must have been outrage against him. I am shocked that he died of natural causes. The King family had endured so much throughout the years and for Mrs. King to meet that end was just unthinkable.

Marcus Wayne Chenault, the black Muslim killer of Mrs. Alberta Williams King died in prison. He was placed in isolation for the first few weeks. He was not put in a "mental ward." He was examined thoroughly and declared mentally competent for trial, assisted his defense counsel. There were no reports of outrage against him. After he was convicted, he was moved to "death row" during his appeals, which was isolated. After numerous appeals, the State agreed to drop the death penalty...he died in prison shortly thereafter of natural causes.
