Was Maura's trunk opened by the police prior to being towed by Lavoie's?
Could Maura have disappeared by hiding in her trunk? Since she was in NH without anyone's knowledge - she may have left the scene with her car gotten out later or along the drive to the tow company's location 10 miles away on Route 10-- then continued on her planned journey.
