Was King Solomon and Hatshepsut contemporaries? What evidence exists indicating Hatshepsut journeyed to visit Solomon?

Who was the Queen of Sheba?

Wow, Dave, thanks! I had no idea about this slice of history, nor about the ongoing dispute over whether Hatshepsut and Queen of Sheba might be the same person.

All three of your questions seem to be still open discussions among the biblical/Egyptian/African archaeology communities. Rather than recap - partly because the sources I've read today are "only"an unsourced-yet-very-authoritative-sounding WikiAnswer dissertation and a thread on a self-described biblical archaeology forum - I will put those links below. (In other words, I have no idea as to which answers to your questions might be the correct ones!!!)

Ahhhhh, so THAT'S where that recent line of questioning has come from!!! So, you're wondering if that theory had been validated since then. Cool. (Hey, you should tell us what you're reading or what you heard that has provoked your thought-provoking questions!)

7. Neferure was married to her half-brother, Thutmoses III (Isis son's - son from Thutmose II Harem)

8. Hatshepsut became regent and kept power

9. Hatshepsut went to the Nubia battlefields, according to record.

11. Hatshepsut established herself by Amun and Khnum a divine connection.

Amum link of Divine kingship Myth

1.Amun-Re made himself into the form of Thutmose I

2. Amun and Ahmose had a child, a daughter, named, Khnemet Amun Hatshepsut, "she shall exercise great kingship in this whole land."

While biblical speculators can say what they please, both these persons are historical and have fairly accurate dates. King Solomon (and hence the Queen of Sheba in his story) lived about 1000 BCE. The Pharaoh Hatshepsut lived about 1500 BCE, roughly 500 years earlier. Although the dates are not precise, there is no way they would be off by 500 years.

Read the book, "Stargazers & Gravediggers", the theory is proposed for the first time.

Based on Oxford research, it is possible that Hatshepsut could be the Queen of Sheba
