Warren G. Harding, 29th Pres of the US. His love letters are under court seal until 2023. What would you have asked this interesting man?

Tip for best answer: M$1.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

He was an interesting character! and he was President during such a time of turmoil and upheaval - it's no wonder he campaigned on promises of "return to normalcy"....which, by the way, was a word he made up. Harding liked to make up a lot of words and wasn't terribly bright. Hrm. Oh well, here's what I would ask this president:

1.) What do you think of former Vice President Dick Cheney's actions during the Iraq War? Should he have been prosecuted?

I think, of course, this is a singularly interesting question for Pres. Harding since his Secretary of the Interior was the first member of the Presidential Cabinet ever to serve jail time (for the Teapot Dome scandal, not terribly dissimilar to some of the Haliburton controversies of late).

2.) Were you really poisoned? What circumstances led to your death? Did your wife have anything to do with it?

I suspect poison. Especially with his known dalliances with Carrie Fulton Phillips. And several other women. In the White House. Yikes.

I would ask him, "If you were alive now, what is your opinion on our world today?"
