I think police are presumed to be innocent the same way everyone else is (or should be). I don't think the officer will get convicted for anything more serious than manslaughter though as police officers are given a lot of leeway to act as they see fit in the field. This doesn't mean that they can do whatever they want, but the understanding is that if officers were afraid to act half the time because of potential legal troubles nothing would get done. Because of this police often "get away with" things that ordinary people would not.
The city will likely settle, because a $1 million settlement will cost them less in the long run than paying legal fees, bad media attention reliving the event, and a potential $25 million verdict.

i believe the cop that shot him should be accounted for and arrested cause that is not right for that to happen toa nyone especially not cops getting away with shooting someone without cause to do so.an innocent man lost his like due to the bad way cops treat people.
