" . . . is it being leaked through the studios... the dvd duplicator... a lonely editor..."
I think you answered the question yourself, it could be any of the above. If there was only one place security could break, prevention would make DVD quality torrents a rarity. If they are as common as you say they must be coming through multiple ways.

I would not use bittorrent to download illegal stuff. There is plenty of free and legal content that you legally download. Vuse a bitorrent client has a feature where you can download content that is add supported, free and legal. There is TV shows, movies and other stuff. Last thing you want is legal trouble at your door.

How are Torrent movies come out in DVD quality almost 2-3 months before the DVD comes out in stores?
So I noticed while downloading torrents that movies.
Recently released movies go in a cycle on torrent sites.
1) the site gets jammed with fake torrents and bad bootlegged quality copies.
2) the fairly better but still bad telesync copy comes out.
both while its still in the theater.
if its a bust in the theaters it will be online within a month after its out of theaters then a month after its in dvd quality online it is released in stores.
now if the movies a block buster it will take a fairly long time to be released in dvd quality on torrent sites then another 2 weeks until the 720P hd quality comes out.
still months before they are released.
but my question is how are these torrent up-loaders getting this DVD quality copy when its not released yet.
is it being leaked through the studios... the dvd duplicator... a lonely editor...

They are getting them from the movie studio or the retailers. The retailers will sometime have them in a warehouse waiting for the release date to come. They have to stock pile the DVDs to have enough too stock all the stores. I would not use bittorrent to download illegal stuff. There is plenty of free and legal content that you legally download.
