The PS2's hardware wouldn't be capable of running the game, neither would the Wii's. It's slick visuals require a lot of rendering and my pc doesn't even look like it'll run the pc version. They could do some stuff to it to make it look worse/take out content to make it run on the PS2, but that's a lot of effort and their product would probably be worse for it.
