Sometimes achievements glitch, which sucks when they do believe me. If a particular achievement is glitching for you, I suggest you preform maintenance on your Xbox, which clears the cache (System Settings, Memory, Press Y on your harddrive, then enter XX Rb Lb XX. Or if you have the current update on XBL, when you press "Y" on your harddrive it will be the third choice). This will delete all updates, and clear cache. So achievements, unless unobtainable should pop when you complete the task again. If it is glitched, you will have to wait until an update is released over Xbox Live to achieve these.

FYI: The Realistic Difficulty glitch on Rainbow Six Vegas has been updated, so when you log into the game your achievement should pop up. This is a fine example of a glitched achievement that requires an update to achieve. Another example of this is Ghostbusters, there are two reported glitches on this game.

Another suggestion is using a guide. I use www.xbox360achievements.org as my place for any achievement problems. Sometimes an achievement needs a certain thing done, that wasnt described clearly in the achievement description. I would use this site to check to see, what it is exactly you need to do.
