I am going to go out on a limb here, i think you are referring to the game the Lost Odyssey Holey Beast.

In order to get control of the white boa and move onto disc 4 you need to have mings harp, it is in the guest quarters and the far north next to the cubic lady . (Near or in mings chamber)

Once you have the harp you can then move on and controll the white boa.

There are actually walkthrews on youtube, i know this game can be veeeeeery addictive :P (much like quest or hexen)
