When should we expect another Super Smash Bros. game to be released?

The first was for N64, the second was for Gamecube, and the latest has been for the Wii. When will the next be released? Do you think it will be for the Wii?

As far as I know, Nintendo has not announced a new Super Smash Bros. game. Typically, they release one per console, but that may have changed. For instance, they used to only release one Mario World game per console (Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy...), but they appear to be breaking that with Super Mario Galaxy 2, so I wouldn't be surprised if we were to see a new Super Smash Bros. game next year. My reason for this is because Nintendo has no plans to release a successor to the Wii and they'll want new games to take advantage of the Wii Motion Plus accessory.

Well, we recently came out with the one with meta knight around late 2008- early 2009, so my guess is around late 2009-2010.

Sorry, not early 2009, early 2008. And I would say they might tell us about one in 2010, or late late 2009. I don't see any chances of news until then.

But I do think there is a big chance for a DS one, seeing as they have integrated other big game series into there.

I would say they would release one probably next year around the middle of the year. As stated before it is usually one per console but since it did so well on the WII I wouldnt be suprised if a new one were to come out next year.
