Although the story leaves something to be desired, F.E.A.R. 2 is still an excellent first-person shooter. The game also features some fairly modest system requirements, so gamers may not need to buy new video cards to play at high settings. Overall, F.E.A.R. 2 does more to accentuate the first game than it does to stand out on its own. While the sequel is enjoyable as a shooter, don't expect the same level of creepiness from before.

The visuals are solid as ever (and the atmosphere, it's so creepy at times), and the gameplay's still fun. The story could've made a bit more sense, but that's a minor thing.

I found FEAR 2: Project Origin, to be an interesting new take on the series. The first game's solid AI is still there, and the environments are far more varied and interesting this time (hell even the offices are more interesting I felt). The new enemies they've added in help bring in more variety to the rather repetitive combat. The powered suit thing you ride in, is just a great experience whenever you get in one. The visuals are solid as ever (and the atmosphere, it's so creepy at times), and the gameplay's still fun. The story could've made a bit more sense, but that's a minor thing.
