Fallout 3 is definitely a good game. I rented it =/ but have had it now 3 weeks overdue haha. The game is a blast once yo get the hang of it. The story is good and all It is like a cross between Bioshock and Oblivion for me.
Anywho, Fable 2 is my strongest recommendation for a game. It is a solid game from start to finish. Gears of War 2 is pretty fun too if you can handle the immature and silly voice acting and storyline. The new Prince of Persia received less than admirable ratings =( turns out it isn't as good as it looks. Call of Duty World at War is good but it isn't close to call of Duty 4. You're better off getting Gears of War 2 than the new call of Duty. Mirror's Edge is REALLY fun, but is only a renter, once you beat the ame there is no replay value so just rent it.
Honestly, this holiday season, i will mostly be playing older games like Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4. Soul Caliber 4 will probably eat up some of my time as well. And of course i plan to pop Fable 2 in several more times. Oooo and we can't forget Rock Band 2

For me, it will be Mortal Kombat vs. the DC Universe. My friends and I enjoyed playing MK when we were younger, and who didn't grow up reading comics featuring Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash & Green Lantern? When I saw the advertisements for this game, I knew I'd be purchasing it. Who can beat two nostalgic properties in one?

Call of Duty: World at War... I know I have to buy it eventually, but I keep putting it off. I think I probably played Call of Duty 4 more than any other video game, and leaving it for a new game feels like I'm abandoning a child. Also, after getting used to using modern weapons, I'm not sure how I'll feel about WWII weapons.
