The Sims is amazing. My best friend got me into it and if there's a better tool for creating your own mini-soap operas, I don't know about it. The only problem is all the micromanagement. After a while you get friend after friend calling you saying you never catch up, but you're too busy eating and sleeping and taking showers and trying to keep your motives high. (Sims 2, for what it's worth.)

I haven't played The Sims 3, but I do follow the Alice and Kev blog at http://aliceandkev.wordpress.com and it is pretty much the most amazing thing ever. Most of this is Zedadias' fault. I love Zedadias and he isn't even a real person.

Other than the Sims, I used to play Creatures, but that was more of a "mother these beings" vibe.
