I think its technally not an advance in technology or innovation, but if Microsoft strikes this one right, we could be seeing a decesive win on this console era.
Imagine yourself with sword in hand making combos, or Tekken Natal, i don't just some random guesses.
I think it promises to change gaming, at least for this Console era.

I think Project Natal is an awesome step in the right direction but really doesnt do anything for the gaming industry now. As it stands the current technology still wont be able to keep up with minor movements like the angle your hands are at or how fast you stab forward. This means that if Natal was released tomorrow we wouldnt have very many interesting games. Dont get me wrong, it would be cool to have but I know the games wouldnt be as interesting as most people want them to be. We all know the first game to come out would be some form of Dance Dance Revolution quickly followed by American Idol. With time this technology will be the wave of the gaming future, but for now it will be a time filler for E3 since microsoft had nothing else new to say....
