BORDERLANDS
Borderlands is a very good game, and worth a rent at least. It has earned its 8-9.5/10 game rating by various consumers to include: Ign, Gamespot, and Xbox Official Magazine. This game also takes awhile to beat, so its not a finish-it-one-day-and-your-done type of game. The stroyline is intresting, and keeps you wanting to play, even if your on your 12th hour in one day (personal experience speaking of course). Not to mention its variety of weapons that they promised, and the DLC to drop by the end of this year. Can't wait!
DRAGON AGE: ORIGINS
Another awesome rpg game, but made by Bioware (the creators of Mass Effect). This game is addicting, and the storyline and graphics are top-notch; which is certainly becoming to be expected by this company. It has also well-earned its good ratings that circulate around the 90% marginal out of 100%, with critics such as: Metacritic, Ign, and Xbox Official Magazine. This is no doubt a revolutionary game that will probably see a sequel due to its success (based on opinion, rather than fact). The best thing about this game, is its replay value. Beating the game once, is just 1/6 of the storyline. I liek the fact that every class seems to have their own storyline, that way your not playing the same story over and over and making the game very boring. Plus, with the Limited Edition of this game you are able to get the DLC for free as well as special armors for Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 (releasing in Jan 2010).
FORZA MOTORSPORT 3
One of the better racing games Ive played to date. They have come along way from Forza 2, thats for sure. The graphics are very convincing into thinking one is actually driving on the road. I cant give too much of a review about this game since, I was basically watching my friend play it and only letting me race one round (greedy bast*rd, lol). I can tell you he absolutely loves this game as a racing fan though. Worth a rent for sure.
LEFT 4 DEAD 2
Oh, the demo for this game is really incredible. This game will be a beast, and you can hold me to that quote. I really like the additions in this game as well, being able to incorporate melee weapons as well as different ammuntion to take down those hordes is nice. Not to mention the defibulator as a choice replacement to a health pack (giving us the opportunity to either choose a med pack, or a way to resurrect a dead teammate is nice). I have a feeling that this game will see its success and will put in works yet another Left 4 Dead, itll be probably as broken as Halo has become. Still, I wait with anticipation to this game! Let the zombie brawl begin, expert anyone?
MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 2
No doubt, hands down better than the first crappy installment (personal opinion again). It still isnt the type of game I prefer to play, but with cooperative this game is actually pretty fun. I would say rent this and see if you like it, before splurging the big bucks.
