Riddick is in a desolated village fighting a Huge mechanical monster that shoots fire. How do you kill it

The weapon that Riddick uses hurts the beast but I'm finding it imposable to bring down. If I hit it five times and detonate the explosive charges I can hear it grown, but it just woun't go down.

You are fighting the alpha drone what you do is, shoot him with the scar five times, detonate the charges, he will fall to his knees once he does run up to him, press Y when prompted kill him.Riddick will automatically kill him with the ulaks, once he is dead take a grenade from him and throw it at the bars where he came from. Good Luck Buddy!!!
