On the bogeyman ending, are those people turning Alex into the pyramid head guy?

If Alex sees that pyramid head guy throughout the game, how does Alex turn into him? I dont get it!

*SPOILER ALERT*

This is just an alternate ending and Alex won't turn into him. But you can select the alternate costume of pyramid head in new game. Except you don't have the giant swinging sword, its just an outfit

A best ending or canon ending is when you forgave your father and killed your mother
