It's not really meant to be fun, but more of a social place to hang out with your friends online. There are far better things you could be doing online with your friends though. There's a plethora of free online mmo's that you could at least be adventuring in while socializing, instead of just standing around as a penguin.

My 9yo son loves Club Penguin. As others have said, it's a more social kind of place, but he seems to enjoy finding new items and things to do. He enjoys calling up his friends, meeting on-line, and then playing hide-and-go-seek or just enjoying CP together. He also enjoys playing the mini-games to get coins...

And, hey, they just released the newest puffle... white! (Okay... HE was excited.)

Did you know there's a Club Penguin game for the Nintendo DS? It was released a couple months ago and it's gotten decent reviews. Just a random FYI :P

Yes I actually do think club penguin can pass enjoyable time. But you would adventually get bored like I did. I also think it's better when your a member.
