I can't get Volvagia, I got the key but I can't jump all the way to the door. (It's in the Fire Temple on TLOZ: OOT)

Anyway the first walkthrough makes it seem pretty easy so I was suspicious of its accuracy, but I've included it anyway. The second seems to explain what you have to do pretty well, but like I said I'm not certain!
When you're using the guides, press Ctrl+F and type in Boss Door at the search box at the bottom, it'll help you jump through all the text. Hope that helps in some small way!

I've got the Boss Key though I need to know how to get to the Boss's door over the Magma pit as I cannot jump all the way over, or even from the sides, so what do I do? Please help me in this, okay? I've been trawling walkthroughs because I can't remember doing this one and something's coming back. Have you tried moving the pillar so you can hop across onto it and then towards the door? Anyway the first walkthrough makes it seem pretty easy so I was suspicious of its accuracy, but I've included it anyway.
