Can someone please advise me how to defeat the first couple (the 2nd one) of Bigmorays and its magic insects?

Uhh well i've managed to defeat the first one and his magic insects but that's as far as i've gotten so far and I've tried multiple times.My characters aren't that powerful yet but I should be able to.I'm about 5 hours through the game and have just seen the grand staff or whatever it's called. Please please please someone help.
