I think you meant to say, how can you play PS2 games on your PS3.
To do this you would have to have bought a backwards compatible PS3 (unless you know how to edit game consoles, in that case good luck).
It your ps3 stopped reading Discs then first:
Make sure its plugged into a working outlet
Make sure its on
Make sure the Disc has something on it
Make sure that the Disc isnt scratched
If nothing still then you may have to contact Sonys warranty section and see what your options are.
